Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN) is gearing up to celebrate 'A.P. Indy Week' ahead of Saturday's GI Belmont S. Announced on Monday, 'A.P. Indy Week' is scheduled from Monday, June 3 to Saturday, June 8, featuring tributes to the 1992 Belmont winner and the late Lanes End stallion. Listeners can anticipate a series of events including replays of his most significant wins and interviews with individuals reflecting on his racing career. A.P. Indy, a top performer at the Keeneland September Sale where he fetched $2.9 million, was initially consigned by Lanes End, which later retained a stake in the colt when he turned 3. Following his victory in the 1992 GI Breeders' Cup Classic, A.P. Indy was honoured as Horse of the Year and Champion 3-Year-Old Colt before retiring to Lanes End, where he lived until his passing in early 2020.
In 2021, HRRN was the official radio home of the Kentucky Derby, Triple Crown and Breeders' Cup World Championships.
