Great Lady M Stakes at Los Alamitos

Nominees for the upcoming Great Lady M Stakes at Los Alamitos have been announced, with Chismosa and Elm Drive leading the pack. The Grade 2, $200,000 race for fillies and mares will feature 20 contenders, including last year's second and third-place finishers.

Chismosa, a 4-year-old Clubhouse Ride filly owned by Jaime Renella and trained by Rafael DeLeon, enters the race off a recent win at Santa Anita. With 5 wins in 18 starts and earnings of $501,750, she will be looking to improve on her close second-place finish in last year's Great Lady M.

Elm Drive, a 5-year-old Mohaymen mare trained by Phil D'Amato and owned by Little Red Feather Racing, has finished third in the Great Lady M for the past two years. With a record of 5 wins in 18 starts and earnings of $575,745, she will be aiming for a top finish this time around.

Other notable nominees include Richi, a Chile-bred filly trained by Bob Baffert, who finished second in her U.S. debut in the Desert Stormer. Baffert, a five-time winner of the Great Lady M, will also be represented by Connie Swingle, Sun of Hill, and Super Shine in Saturday's race.

The remaining nominees include Anywho, Big Celebration, Court Snort, Daddysruby, Fast Giselle, Fayette Fox, Getthemoney, Irish Wahine, Olivia Twist, Report, Sweet Azteca, Three Witches, Tom's Regret, and Yuki. Entries for the race will be taken on Wednesday.
