Improbable, a late freshman sire at InStar Farm, began his legacy on July 15 with his first winner, Maybe Eye'll Call, who won a five-furlong maiden special weight race in gate-to-wire fashion by four lengths at Horseshoe, Indianapolis. Maybe Eye'll Call was bred by Coteau Grove Farms in Louisiana and is out of the mare You Caught My Eye, a daughter of Can the Man and half-sister to Catch a Glimpse and Old Forester.
Maybe Eye'll Call was purchased for $95,000 at the 2023 Keeneland September Yearling Sale, but later sold for $75,000 at the Ocala Breeders' Spring 2-Year-Old in Training Sale to Intrepid Thoroughbreds. Trained by Steve Asmussen, Maybe Eye'll Call won in his second career start with a final time of :59.70.
Improbable, an 8-year-old son of City Zip, was a champion older male in 2020 after winning three consecutive grade 1 races. Unfortunately, he was euthanised on March 16 due to ataxia that caused him to fall and fracture his right tibia.
