Perfect Journey Leads I Get It to Victory in Open Handicap Trot

I Get It orchestrated a flawless performance and caused an upset in the £33,784 Open Handicap Trot at Bally’s Dover on Tuesday evening (Feb. 20).

As the race commenced, Northern Express swiftly seized an early advantage, overtaking I Get It during a brisk :27.3 first quarter. Northern Express valiantly fended off the 3-5 favourite, Muscle Dynasty, for half the race, engaging in a neck-and-neck battle and crossing the halfway point at :56.1. The determined trotter then surged ahead at three-quarters, clocking in at 1:25, with I Get It closely observing from the pocket.

JL Cruze made a bold move, manoeuvring three-wide at the top of the stretch, but his manoeuvre proved fruitless. Meanwhile, I Get It strategically navigated along the pylons, edging past Northern Express on the finish line to clinch victory by a mere head in 1:55. Darbyshire secured a commendable third place.

Driven by Tim Tetrick and under the guidance of Scott Di Domenico, I Get It is under the ownership of Triple D Stables and Michael Rekoon. The offspring of Dontyouforgetit rewarded backers handsomely by paying out $13.20 for the win.
