Charlottetown, Pennsylvania Rosetown Mary (Pang Shui), who was narrowly defeated last week, will look to make a comeback in the Fillies and Mares Preferred Pace on Thursday night at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
The Thursday show begins at six o'clock in the evening and has nine dashes.
Trainer-driver Corey MacPherson, owners Rosetown Stable and Taylor MacPherson, and morning line favourite Rosetown Mary will start the $3,700 Fillies and Mares Preferred Pace from post 2. The mare has proven to have the same perseverance as her mother, Brodys Leona, who was a top-tier mare on the Eastern Seaboard.
Assigned post-5 on Thursday for trainer-driver David Dowling and owners Brittany Dowling, Sandra Weeks, and Errol Burgoyne, Tobins Brownie has won this class the last two weeks.
Share The Moment has rail control with Gilles Barrieau above the wheels for trainer Bo Ford and owners Luke Beck, Scott Bridges and Arnold Myers. Control The Moment's six-year-old daughter, who has excelled during her time on the East Coast, is going to try to earn her 26th career victory on Thursday.
For owner Olivia May, Quaid Hately, and Andrew Cameron, as well as trainer Melissa Rennie, Ms Moyse will have Adam Merner back in the saddle from post 3. The well-liked Rollwithitharry daughter has won 26 times in her lifetime.
Chelski, a post-4 entry from the Jennifer Doyle stable for owners Jeff and Robert Skinner of Nova Scotia, rounds out the field.
Rosetown Mary will receive the Post-Time Picks for the Thursday feature.
“Rosetown Mary was ‘oh so close’ to winning last week and just missed by the slimmest of margins. Moves into post two and if MacPherson has her close when they turn for home she could seal the deal this time.”
