Two $30,000 eliminations for each event will feature a competitive field of young trotters: 19 two-year-old colts and geldings in the Wellwood and 14 rookie fillies in the Peaceful Way. Notably, the top five finishers from each elimination will advance to the finals.

William Wellwood Memorial Eliminations:

  - Extended Session will attempt to bounce back from a recent break in the Millard final, while Maryland and Tactical Dynasty are also expected to compete strongly.

- Elimination 2 (Race 10):

  - The spotlight is on Nordic Catcher S, who comes in as the reigning New Jersey Sires Stakes champion, looking for his third win in four starts.

  - He will face challengers like Emoticon Legacy and You Got It Kempt.

Peaceful Way Eliminations:

- Elimination 1 (Race 3):

  - Features Monalishi, who has triumphed in three of her four starts, and Lasting Dream, fresh off a strong performance in the Pure Ivory Series Final.

- Elimination 2 (Race 7):

  - The star here is Champagne Problems, a three-time winner who recently clocked an impressive 1:52.3.

Both the William Wellwood Memorial and Peaceful Way finals will occur on Saturday, August 24, with the elimination winners securing favourable post positions for the final races. The entire evening promises an exhilarating showcase of young harness racing talent!
