The new schedule of Gulfstream Park introduced

Gulfstream Park has announced its 2024-2025 Championship Meet schedule, which runs from Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28, 2024, through Mar. 30, 2025. The season is highlighted by marquee events such as the $3-million Pegasus World Cup Invitational and $1-million Pegasus World Cup Turf Invitational on Jan. 25, and the $1-million Curlin Florida Derby on Mar. 29.

The meet will feature 66 stakes races, 30 of which are graded, offering a total of $15.025 million in prize money. The opening weekend kicks off with 2-year-old turf stakes races on Thanksgiving Day and Friday, Nov. 29, followed by the $600,000 Florida Sire Stakes finals on Saturday, Nov. 30.

Pegasus World Cup Day promises an exciting lineup of eight stakes races, including seven graded events and two overnight handicaps, with a total purse of $5.55 million. In addition to the Pegasus World Cup and World Cup Turf, the day’s highlights include the $500,000 GII Pegasus Filly & Mare Turf Invitational, $200,000 GII Inside Information for fillies and mares, the $200,000 GIII W.L. The Curlin Florida Derby on Mar. 29 anchors a 10-stakes program worth $2.5 million, featuring five graded events. These include the $250,000 GII Gulfstream Park Oaks for 3-year-old fillies, the $200,000 GII Pan American and $150,000 GIII Orchid, both at 1 ½ miles on turf, and the $150,000 GIII Ghostzapper on the main track.

On Feb. 1, the $250,000 GIII Holy Bull leads a five-stakes program, which includes the $150,000 GIII Forward Gal on the main track, and two turf events: the $150,000 GIII Kitten’s Joy and $150,000 GIII Sweetest Chant. The final preps for the Curlin Florida Derby and Gulfstream Park Oaks take place on Mar. 1, with a nine-stakes card headlined by the $400,000 GII Fountain of Youth and $200,000 GII Davona Dale.
