Andy Over's Exceptional Performance at Flamboro Raceway

Andy Over made a triumphant return to Flamboro Downs, leading wire-to-wire in the featured conditioned trot on Sunday's (17th March) 10-race card.

Reduced to a field of six contenders vying for the $10,500 prize, driver Ed Hensley wasted no time, aggressively taking the lead from post five and setting the pace with a quick opening quarter of :28.1. The 1-5 favourite maintained his position at the front, clocking in at :58.4 for the half-mile mark, but faced pressure from O Narutac Perfetto and Austin Sorrie. The two challengers battled it out on the backstretch, reaching three-quarters in 1:27.4, while Run Like Hill and Samuel Fillion patiently followed in third.

The intensity continued to build as they entered the final turn, but Andy Over and Hensley skillfully utilised their inside advantage to carve out a clear 1-1/2 length lead at the top of the stretch. O Narutac Perfetto persisted in his pursuit, closing in on Andy Over, while Run Like Hill made his move along the passing lane. However, Andy Over proved resilient, holding off O Narutac Perfetto by a head at the finish line in a time of 1:57.4.

Co-owned by Ed Hensley and trainer Ashleigh Hensley, the seven-year-old gelded son of Andovers Son-Victory Love secured his fourth victory of the season in 10 starts and his 32nd career win.
