Ante Up Hanover achieved a new record in Pennsylvania

Ante Up Hanover set a new track record at the Clearfield Fair in Pennsylvania on Tuesday evening, clocking in at 1:57 over the half-mile course. The three-year-old Betting Line gelding is on track to repeat his PA Fair Sire Stakes Championship win from last year. The previous record of 1:57.3 had been held for 21 years, set by My Gal Phyl, but it was broken by Ante Up Hanover, trained and driven by Todd Schadel, who also co-owns the horse with his wife Christine.

Team Schadel had a successful evening, with another Betting Line offspring, Twiggs Pub, winning in 2:00.2. Sonadora, a Sweet Lou filly, secured her fourth fair win in the "A" ranks with a time of 2:02.2, while Showboat Hanover, a Betting Line filly, won in 2:00.4.

The following day, the focus shifted to three-year-old trotters, with driver Wayne Long claiming four victories. The standout performance came from the International Moni son Thaler Hanover, winning in 2:02.1 and adding to the success of the Johnston family, with Aaron Johnston driving Unique Wedding to victory in 2:03.1.

Todd Schadel continued to dominate, with nine driving victories and eight training wins. Wayne Long and Aaron Johnston also had strong showings, with six and five wins respectively. The action doesn't stop, as racing continues at the Bedford Fair on Thursday and Friday. Ante Up Hanover will be back in action on Friday, just three days after his record-breaking performance at Clearfield.
