Batterup Hanover Favoured in Summerside Feature Race

Summerside Raceway is set for an exciting 14-dash card beginning at 6 p.m., with the $3,800 featured pace taking place in race 13. Batterup Hanover, trained and driven by Paul Langille, is the morning-line favourite, starting from post 5. Owned by Debbie Francis, Douglas Lowthers, Chantel Langille, and Rosanne Langille of Nova Scotia, the six-year-old son of Betting Line recently competed in the $50,000 Premier’s Cup final in Charlottetown, where he finished seventh with a time of 1:54.

The Devils Cash, driven by Brady Sweet and trained by Rick Armstrong, will start from post 1. This Fearless Diablo pacer has been racing in Maine, where he clocked a 1:55.3 victory at Farmington Fair for owner Doug Beckwith of New Brunswick.

Howmac Charmer, guided by David Dowling, takes post 2. Trained by Kyle Williams and owned by Doug Williams of Ontario, the Malicious pacer has been in fine form this season, with six wins from 17 starts, including a lifetime best of 1:54.4.

Sauble Attack, from post 3, is co-owned and trained by Paul Biggar alongside Donald Callbeck. Post 4 features former Invitational star Time To Dance, driven by Marc Campbell. This 52-time career winner is trained by Brent Campbell, who co-owns the pacer with Brady Doyle and Kent MacDonald. Time To Dance secured his first win of the season at Red Shores Charlottetown on September 28.

The Backstretch Beat tips Batterup Hanover to win, noting his strong performances in Atlantic Canada and Langille’s driving success this season.
