Catalogue Released for 2024 Tattersalls December Yearling Sale

The Tattersalls December Yearling Sale catalogue is now available online, featuring 197 yearlings set to go under the hammer on November 25. This year’s line-up includes 11 yearlings related to Group 1 winners, including the Dark Angel half-sister to Prix Jean-Luc Lagardère champion Camille Pissarro, and a Nathaniel half-sister to Irish Champion Stakes winner Economics.

The catalogue offers full or half siblings to 65 Group and Listed winners and includes 32 yearlings from Group or Listed-winning mares, such as a Kingman colt out of Queen Elizabeth II Stakes winner Persuasive, a Siyouni colt out of Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes victor Madame Chiang, and a Showcasing colt out of Irish 1000 Guineas winner Pleascach.

Additionally, the sale offers nine yearlings eligible for the £25,000 Tattersalls October Book 1 Bonus, with 27 others in the running for the £150,000 October Auction Stakes and £100,000 Somerville Auction Stakes. A number of fillies are also entered for the Great British Bonus, and one yearling qualifies for French Owners' Premiums.

Tattersalls Chairman Edmond Mahony highlighted the sale’s appeal, noting, "The quality and value for money attract buyers year after year, with success stories like Via Sistina and high returns from pin hooking ventures enhancing its reputation." The 2024 catalogue includes consignments from top nurseries in Britain and Ireland, offering buyers exceptional quality and potential rewards.
