Darby Dan Farm Reveals $12.5K Stud Fee for Blazing Sevens

Darby Dan Farm announced that Blazing Sevens, a 4-year-old colt by Good Magic, will stand for a 2025 stud fee of $12,500. Blazing Sevens, the winner of the 2022 Champagne Stakes (G1) and runner-up in the 2023 Preakness Stakes (G1), is now available for inspection. The fee applies when the foal stands and nurses.

Trained by Chad Brown and owned by Rodeo Creek Racing, Blazing Sevens retires with a career record of 3-1-3 from 12 starts, amassing earnings of $998,850. "Despite minor setbacks that affected his 4-year-old season, his achievements, including a Grade 1 win at two and a near miss in the Preakness, make him an attractive stallion prospect," said Stuart Fitzgibbon, stallion director at Darby Dan Farm. "His combination of racing success, physical appeal, and pedigree make him an exciting addition to our roster."

Blazing Sevens is sired by Good Magic, who has produced five Grade 1 winners from his first two crops. He is out of Trophy Girl, a winning mare by Warrior's Reward and a half-sister to Grade 1 winner King David and stakes winner Bertsgoldenmissile. Bred in Kentucky by Tracy Farmer, Blazing Sevens was purchased for $225,000 at the 2021 Saratoga Sale at Fasig-Tipton.

Peter Bradley, racing manager for Rodeo Creek Racing, praised the colt, saying, "Blazing Sevens is absolutely stunning."
