Exciting Wins of Two-Year-Old Fillies at Mohawk

The Ontario-sired Harvest Series resumed on Monday, Oct. 28, at Woodbine Mohawk Park, featuring three divisions for two-year-old fillies.

In the sole trot division, Stormont Beautiful (Resolve), driven by Brett MacDonald, claimed her third win with an impressive 1:56.1 finish. Starting her first-over move at the half, she drew away in the stretch to defeat Debra (Bob McClure) by three-and-three-quarter lengths, while Oceanview Rumours (James MacDonald) secured third. Trained by Kevin Benn for Stormont Meadows, Stormont Beautiful now has three wins in six starts and $34,250 in earnings.

The first pacing division went to Outtathisworld Deo (Bettors Delight) and Louis-Philippe Roy in 1:54. After securing an early lead, she reclaimed momentum in deep stretch, edging past Promising Moment (Tyler Borth) by half a length. Sugar Pie Honey (MacDonald) took third. Conditioned by Chantal Mitchell, Outtathisworld Deo has two wins in eight outings, earning $26,940 for Deo Volente Farms.

Roy also captured the second pacing division with Funny Business (Hes Watching), who won her maiden race in 1:55.2 after a final turn rally. She held off My Happy Place (McClure) by three-quarters of a length, while Chillinonthebeach (Trevor Henry) finished third. The Patrick Rouleau-trained filly, owned by Busi Racing, earned $21,390 with her breakthrough win.

The night concluded with Amigo Volo (Father Patrick) dominating the $36,000 Preferred Trot, marking his fourth win in five starts with a 1:50.4 victory. Safe Conduct took second, and Fashion Frenzie (Roy) came in third.

Harvest Series racing resumes on Thursday, Oct. 31, with divisions for two-year-old colts and geldings at 7:10 p.m.
