First Mission is getting better and better

In the latest update of the National Thoroughbred Racing Association's (NTRA) Top Thoroughbred Poll released on June 25, there have been notable shifts within the top ten rankings, reflecting the dynamic nature of the current racing season.

Key Changes in the Top Ten:

-   First Mission: The Street Sense colt, First Mission, climbed one spot to No. 3, gaining three votes for a total of 161. His recent performance in the Alysheba Stakes (G2) has bolstered his standing.

-   Idiomatic: Swapping places with First Mission, Idiomatic dropped to No. 4. Despite having one more first-place vote than First Mission, Idiomatic lost 10 votes overall.

-   Cogburn: Previously ranked No. 9, Cogburn dropped out of the top ten.

-   The Chosen Vron: Moving up one spot to No. 9, The Chosen Vron took over Cogburn's previous position.

-   Didia: Entering the top ten for the first time, Didia, a recent winner of the New York Stakes (G1T), claimed the No. 10 spot. Didia joins three other 6-year-olds in the top ten: Senor Buscador, Master of The Seas, and The Chosen Vron.

-   National Treasure: Remaining firmly at the top of the rankings with a total of 290 points and 25 first-place votes. The Quality Road colt has had an impressive 4-year-old campaign, securing victories in the Pegasus World Cup Invitational Stakes (G1) and the Metropolitan Handicap (G1), and placing fourth in the Saudi Cup (G1).

-   Senor Buscador: Holding steady at No. 2.

-   Adare Manor: Maintains the No. 5 spot.

-   Master of The Seas: Staying at No. 6 with one first-place vote.
