Gina Romantica is going to try to win her third grade one race at Keeneland in Jenny Wiley

Gina Romantica, owned by Peter Brant, is set to make her first appearance of the year in the upcoming Saturday race. She will be the main attraction in a field of 10 contenders vying for the $600,000 prize in the 36th edition of the Jenny Wiley (G1) race, which will be held on turf and cover a distance of 1 1/16 miles.

The Jenny Wiley is the ninth race on the 11-race program. It will start at 5:16 p.m. (ET), and the initial post is scheduled for 1 p.m.

Gina Romantica is set to make her debut since her impressive performance in the FanDuel Breeders' Cup Mile (G1) last November at Santa Anita, where she finished fourth, just a length behind the leading males.

Under the guidance of Chad Brown, this impressive 5-year-old mare by Into Mischief has achieved great success, winning two Grade 1 races at the renowned Keeneland track. In her previous race before the Breeders' Cup Mile, she emerged victorious in both the 2022 Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup Presented by Dixiana and the 2023 First Lady. Tyler Gaffalione will be riding from post 6.

Brown, a highly successful trainer in the Jenny Wiley race, has an impressive record with five victories in the past six years and a total of six wins overall. This year, he has three additional horses competing: Fluffy Socks from Head of Plains Partners, Surge Capacity from Klaravich Stables, and Beaute Cachee (FR) from Madaket Stables, Michael Dubb, and Louis Lazzinnaro.
