This week’s Grand Circuit action shines on The Red Mile in Lexington, Kentucky, and Dayton Raceway in Ohio, with exciting stakes races set to take place.
Schedule of Events:
The week kicks off on Thursday, Sept. 26 at The Red Mile with five divisions of the $387,500 Bluegrass Stakes for 2-year-old colt trotters and four divisions of the $310,000 Bluegrass Stakes for 2-year-old filly pacers.
On Friday, Sept. 27, The Red Mile continues with six divisions of the $413,900 Bluegrass for 2-year-old filly trotters and three divisions of the $350,000 Bluegrass for 2-year-old colt pacers.
The first week at Lexington concludes on Saturday, Sept. 28, with more Bluegrass action, including:
- Three divisions of the $256,900 Bluegrass for 3-year-old colt trotters,
- Three divisions of the $252,200 Bluegrass for 3-year-old filly trotters,
- Two divisions of the $197,000 Bluegrass for 3-year-old colt pacers, and
- Two divisions of the $170,000 Bluegrass for 3-year-old filly pacers.
Also on Saturday, Sept. 28, Hollywood Dayton Raceway will host four Grand Circuit stakes, each carrying a $250,000 purse:
- Dayton Pacing Derby for older pacers,
- Dayton Trotting Derby for older trotters,
- Dayton Oaks Derby for older female trotters, and
- Dayton Distaff Derby for older female pacers.
Recent Highlights:
In the most recent Grand Circuit action, Maryland took top honours at the Mohawk Million at Woodbine Mohawk Park, where driver Dexter Dunn continued his stellar season.
