Hill 'n' Dale at Xalapa purchases a $800,000 I Am Invincible Filly at Magic Millions

On Day 2 of the 2024 Magic Millions Gold Coast National Weanling Sale, William Johnson Bloodstock achieved the day's top lot when lot 297, an outstanding daughter of Champion Sire I Am Invincible, was knocked down for A$800,000 on behalf of Hill 'n' Dale at Xalapa.

The fact that this is one of Australia's most prolific black-type families was not lost on the filly's new owners, according to William Johnson. The Sikura family of Hill 'n' Dale has been eager to tap into the greatest Australian bloodlines.

“Racing is a global sport,” Johnson stated, “And the Sikuras love these well-bred fillies with great physiques. Their investment here is a great endorsement for Australian racing.”

Hill 'n' Dale is not new to the Australian auction scene; earlier this year, they purchased an I Am Invincible yearling filly out of Madam Rouge (Zoustar), a dual Group winner in collaboration with Gai Waterhouse, Adrian Bott, and William Johnson for A$1.7 million.

Johnson stated that no trainer had been selected for this filly. "We will let her grow out and go from there," he added.
