In Western Fair, Andy Over Looks Better

Andy Over made a comeback to the winner's circle in the highest class at The Raceway in the Western Fair District, the $11,600 Preferred Handicap Trot.

In the highlighted class of six trotters, driver Ed Hensley and trainer Ashleigh Hensley combined to send the gelding to the gate in post three. After pulling first through the half in 58.4, Andy Over escaped third through the opening panel in 28.3. Andy Over made his way back to the pylons after the half-mile point, leading and in charge of the timer this time. He won by 1-3/4 lengths in 1:57 after leading the field unchallenged through the first three-quarters in 1:27. After starting last, Bucktober (Tyler Borth) came back to finish second, followed by Lass Shot (Garrett Rooney).

Ed & Ashleigh Hensley own the seven-year-old horse Andy Over (Andovers Son-Victory Love), who has won six times in 16 starts this year and 34 times overall from 170 starts. Over his career, he has earned a total of $263,568. As the 2-1 second choice, he returned $5.70 to win.
