The Indiana Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association (ITOBA) will hold its 2024 Fall Mixed Sale on October 12 at Horseshoe Indianapolis. This event includes three segments: a live yearling auction, a paddock sale, and a digital mixed sale, which will run from November 14-19. The yearling auction, featuring 87 Indiana-bred and sired yearlings, will take place at 1 p.m. in the Horseshoe Indy Receiving Barn. The paddock sale will showcase horses of racing age currently housed at Horseshoe Indy, while the digital sale will offer weanlings, broodmares, horses of racing age, and any yearlings unsold from the live auction.
"We have an exceptional selection of the state's best yearlings for this year’s ITOBA Yearling Sale," said auctioneer Austin Nicks. "This year, 87 yearlings will be consigned, including Indiana-sired colts and fillies from top sires like Charming Kitten, Forever d'Oro, Harry's Holiday, Holiday Promise, Prayer for Relief, Qurbaan, Sahara Sky, Santiva, and Unbridled Express. We’re also featuring yearlings from first-crop sires such as Calculator, Isotherm, and Speightsong, as well as Indiana-bred yearlings by Kentucky sires like Code of Honor, Coal Front, Enticed, Jimmy Creed, Maximus Mischief, and Mineshaft. Hoosier breeders are offering horses that can compete not only in Indiana but on tracks across the country. Our Paddock Sale and Mixed Digital Sale provide sellers with a hassle-free way to sell their horses, and with the Horse Auctions USA app, all three auctions are easily accessible from your mobile device."
