Jason Bartlett and Boston Rocks’ Best Performance In NYSS

Boston Rocks proved his dominance in the New York Sire Stakes for sophomore male pacers at Buffalo Raceway, breaking a track record in the process. The reigning two-year-old New York Sire Stakes pacing champion, Boston Rocks, lived up to expectations with an impressive seven-length victory over Vandiemen Bluechip in a career-best time of 1:52.2, breaking the previous track record of 1:52.3 set in 2012 by Steelhead Hanover.

Under the guidance of driver Jason Bartlett, Boston Rocks took control of the race early on, seizing the lead approaching the quarter pole and maintaining a swift pace throughout. With fractions of :28.1, :56.4, and 1:25.2 over the fast track, Boston Rocks left no room for doubt about his superiority. The victory marked Boston Rocks' second win in four starts in 2024, adding $79,864 to his earnings and bringing his total career earnings to an impressive $432,786.

In another division of the Sire Stakes, Ameritric led from start to finish, posting a lifetime best of 1:52.3 and defeating Pop It by 1-3/4 lengths. Trained by George Ducharme and owned by the Purple Haze Stables, Ameritric has secured four wins in six attempts this season, earning $80,493 and $136,548 in his career.

The excitement continued with three divisions of the Excelsior Series, where Texas Holdem, Escape To America, and Seen Here emerged victorious. Additionally, Forgot Thewallet A made a stunning debut at Buffalo Raceway, storming to a 10-1/2 length victory in the Class A-Open Pace for fillies and mares and setting a new track record of 1:51.3.

With these thrilling performances, Boston Rocks and his fellow competitors showcased their talent and set the stage for an exciting season of harness racing at Buffalo Raceway.
