In Dover, Delaware, Jett Propelled, a horse sired by Roddy’s Bags Again and out of Jett Away, showcased her talent once more during the second round of the Delaware Standardbred Breeders’ Fund (DSBF) for 3-year-old harness racing pacing fillies at Bally’s Dover. Following three consecutive victories, she was once again favored heavily at 1-20 in her $20,000 division on December 11. Living up to expectations, Jett Propelled secured a commanding win with a time of 1:54.3, despite the challenging, sloppy track conditions.
Jason Thompson, driving Jett Propelled, quickly moved from post three to overtake Smalltown Bad Girl, driven by Tim Tetrick, and established control with a swift first quarter of :28. After maintaining a comfortable pace through splits of :57.2 and 1:25.4, Jett Propelled pulled away decisively, finishing 2-3/4 lengths ahead of Smalltown Bad Girl. Bad Nella Monella, helmed by Montrell Teague, finished third, trailing by another eight lengths.
Owned, trained, and bred by Robert Shahan, Jett Propelled has celebrated 11 career victories, returning a payout of $2.10 for her latest win.
In earlier divisions, American Marvel and Slipinsidewayz also secured victories, adding to the excitement leading up to the $110,000 championship event for the pacers, scheduled for December 18. Eight fillies, including Jett Propelled and Slipinsidewayz, qualified for this anticipated final. Meanwhile, the sophomore male pacers are set to compete in their second round of DSBF splits.
