Siena Farm and WinStar Farm's Grade I-winning sprinter Mullikin (Violence) will train up to the GI Breeders' Cup Sprint, as confirmed by trainer Rodolphe Brisset.
The undefeated 4-year-old, who has won all four of his starts this year, scored his biggest victory in the GI Forego Stakes at Saratoga on August 24. After returning to Brisset's Keeneland base, Mullikin completed his first breeze since the win, clocking a half-mile in 49 seconds on Thursday morning.
"He's doing very well. We’re going straight to the Breeders' Cup," Brisset shared. "I wanted to assess how he was feeling and see if he needed more time before resuming breezing, but based on past Breeders' Cup winners, there have been several approaches. I believe this is the best plan."
Mullikin's Forego Stakes victory, which earned him a career-best 105 Beyer Speed Figure, also marked Brisset's first Grade I triumph as a trainer.
