NYRA has released the schedule of events for the 2024 Saratoga meet, which will begin on July 11 and conclude on September 2. The lineup includes the Grade 1, $1.25 million DraftKings Travers on August 24 and the Grade 1, $1 million Whitney on August 3. Racing will be held five days a week, with post times at 1:10 p.m. EDT, except on Saturdays, when it will be at 12:35 p.m. DraftKings Travers Day will have a special post time of 11:40 a.m.
Various attractions and events will be held throughout the summer meet, including the Taste NY Pavilion, Saratoga Breakfast and Breeding Farm Tours, Berkshire Bank Horse Sense, Sunday Brunch at the 1863 Club, and Family Sundays at the Family Fun Zone. Other highlights include giveaways, military appreciation day, the DraftKings Travers Day, New York Showcase Day, and Fan Appreciation Week.
The season-long activities include Breakfast at Saratoga, driven by CDTA, and guided backstretch tram tours. Live musical performances will take place at Purdy's Summer Music Stage every afternoon of the season. Tickets for events can be reserved in advance at NYRA.com, and the Ticketmaster Box Office will be open on race days.
Closing Weekend will feature Breeders' Cup "Win and You're In" events, including the Grade 1, $1 million Jockey Club Gold Cup on September 1. The summer meet will conclude on Labor Day with the Grade 1, $300,000 Hopeful for 2-year-olds.
