Arizona, a young mare sired by Up The Credit, started the race at the rear of the seven-horse group. Driver Brett Beckwith showed great patience with this horse, who had previously won a race from start to finish in the distaff Open at the Spa just two weeks ago. Arizona was behind for the first half, with a time of 56.2 set by the pacemaker, Alittlesidehustl N (Jay Randall). The competitor displayed impressive determination and resilience while leading the pack, maintaining a strong position until the three-quarter mark in 1:25.1. However, Arizona made a decisive move, surging ahead from the outside on the final turn. The Beckwith apprentice triumphed by a narrow margin, crossing the finish line in a time of 1:54.2. Alittlesidehustl N came in second place, with Magical Maya A (Larry Stalbaum) finishing just half a length behind to secure the show position.
Arizona earned a payout of $7.10 as the second choice with odds of 5-2. It managed to secure a winning position in both the exacta and triple bets, resulting in returns of $29.40 and $111.50, respectively.
