Shake N Blake Aims for Fifth Consecutive Victory

Shake N Blake enters the main event of a special Tuesday night program at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park with an impressive four-race winning streak.

The capital venue will present a 12-race card starting at 6 P.M. on Tuesday, as the regular Thursday slot is filled by the Yearling Preview for the Atlantic Classic Yearling Sale taking place in Crapaud, P.E.I., from 3-7 P.M. This year's Atlantic Classic Sale is scheduled for Friday, October 11, beginning at 11:30 A.M., featuring 151 yearlings catalogued for sale. The sale will kick off the Atlantic Breeder’s Crown Weekend of Champions, sponsored by MacRae’s Backhoe and Trucking, with both Saturday and Sunday programs set for 12:30 P.M. The Saturday card includes the Atlantic Sires Stakes pacing consolations, while Sunday will host the finals for both trotters and pacers, the $15,500 MacRace Memorial Open Mares Series Final, the $50,000 Premier’s Cup Invitational Final, and the $12,600 Island Oceans Trot Challenge Final.

In the Tuesday evening program, Shake N Blake is the favourite in the $3,300 top class in race 6, driven by Jason Hughes for trainer Jennifer Doyle and owner Danny Birt. This four-year-old daughter of Hes Watching has been on a winning streak, showcasing her strength in recent outings.

Competing against her will be Ms Moyse, who starts from post 3 under trainer-driver Adam Merner following a convincing 1:57.4 victory last time out. Other notable entries in the featured race include Rock N Roll Cays (David Dowling), Maggiesdelight (Corey MacPherson), and Outrageous Style (Gilles Barrieau).

The Post Time Picks predict a win for Shake N Blake. “Shake N Blake may currently be the sharpest horse on the Island, and the latest line shows it. With her moving out to post five, Hughes likely won’t hesitate to make a move, so we’re calling for a high five at Red Shores.”

Phil Dorleans (Hughes) is favoured in the $2,400 Tuesday evening finale, starting from post 5 for trainer Ashley Gamester and owners Lyndon Hardy, Andrew Williams, and Kent Williams. Other strong contenders include Brookdale Jim (Paul Langille) and Howmac Agustus (Corey MacPherson).

Fans can enjoy the new O’Brien’s Social Bar & Kitchen on Tuesday, as The Top of the Park will be closed for this event.
