TAA to Participate in Maryland Million Day at Laurel Park

The Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance (TAA) will be present at Laurel Park for the Jim McKay Maryland Million Day on Saturday. This year, a race on the card will be dedicated to TAA, celebrating its mission and efforts. Additionally, TAA will welcome the winners of the 2024 VIP Maryland Million package, which was auctioned off through the "Off to the Races" online event. This exclusive experience, generously provided by 1/ST RACING and the Hotel at Arundel Preserve, includes a clubhouse table for four at the event and a two-night stay at the hotel.

Georganne Hale, vice president of development for the Maryland Jockey Club, expressed enthusiasm for TAA's involvement, stating, "We are deeply committed to supporting Thoroughbreds beyond their racing careers, and we're thrilled to promote accredited aftercare together."

As a recognised 501(c)(3) non-profit, the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance plays a vital role in the industry by accrediting organisations, conducting inspections, and providing grants to ensure that Thoroughbreds are retrained, retired, and successfully rehomed through shared resources within the racing community.
