TCA Bash at the Breeders' Cup Set for November 1

The Thoroughbred Charities of America's (TCA) Bash at the Breeders' Cup, presented by Churchill Downs Incorporated, will take place on Friday, November 1, at the Del Mar Hilton in Del Mar, California. The event, hosted by Zoe Cadman and Michelle Yu Hanson, will feature delicious food, handcrafted cocktails, live music by Haute Chile, and a live auction—all in support of TCA’s charitable initiatives.

Located directly across from the Del Mar Racecourse, the evening will offer guests the chance to enjoy savoury bites and cocktails while bidding on exclusive auction items. Tickets for the event are available now.

Zoe Cadman, a host and analyst for XBTV, Santa Anita Park, and 1/ST Racing, brings years of racing experience to the event. Originally from South Africa and raised in England, Cadman made history as the first female rider to win a meet riding title in Chicago in 2001. Michelle Yu Hanson, also a seasoned industry expert, is a host and analyst for Santa Anita Park’s simulcast team. Yu has over two decades of experience in horse racing, having worked with NBC, FOX, Breeders’ Cup, and TVG, among others.

"After an exciting day at the Breeders' Cup, join us for a fun-filled evening at Bash to support TCA," said Erin Halliwell, TCA’s executive director. "This event is an important fundraiser that helps us provide support for Thoroughbred aftercare, health and human services for backstretch workers, equine-assisted therapies, and other charitable programs."

The live auction will include unique items such as a Del Mar Racing package, a halter worn by Thorpedo Anna, a racing saddle signed by top jockeys, VIP boxes at the Whitney Stakes and Blue Grass Stakes, 2025 Breeders’ Cup tickets, and a custom-made amethyst pendant. For those unable to attend in person, telephone bidding will be available.

The event is made possible by sponsors including Herringswell Stables, New York Thoroughbred Horsemen's Association, Candy Meadows Farm, Little Red Feather Cares, Tito’s Vodka, Maker’s Mark, and Jackson Family Wines, with media sponsorship from BloodHorse, TDN, Paulick Report, and the Horse Racing Radio Network.
