James L. Gagliano, President and COO of The Jockey Club, has unveiled a series of promotions and title changes within the organisation's management team, underlining The Jockey Club's steadfast commitment to the racing industry.

Andrew Chesser has been elevated to the role of Director of Registration Services and Director of Business Development for The Jockey Club. Chesser, a stalwart of the organisation since 2006, also serves as a director of the International Federation of Horse Racing Authorities.

Amber Florence has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Finance and Business Planning for The Jockey Club. Florence, who joined the team in 2023, brings her expertise to further strengthen the financial aspect of the organisation.

Shannon Kelly takes on the role of Director of Industry Relations for The Jockey Club, alongside her position as Executive Director of The Jockey Club Safety Net Foundation, a role she has held since 2013.

Shannon Luce has been promoted to Vice President of Communications, recognising her significant contributions since joining The Jockey Club in 2005.

Christelle Morgan assumes the position of Manager of Cataloguing for The Jockey Club Information Systems, leveraging her extensive experience since joining the company in 2001.

Kristin Werner has been appointed Deputy General Counsel and Director of Industry Initiatives, reflecting her longstanding commitment to The Jockey Club since 2005.

Furthermore, Stephen Panus has resigned as President of TJC Media Ventures, responsible for overseeing America's Best Racing brand. Gagliano will step into the role of President, with Greg Charkoudian and Dan Tordjman both promoted to Vice President of TJC Media Ventures, recognising their contributions and dedication over the years.

These changes complement the appointment of Jamie Haydon as Deputy Executive Director of The Jockey Club in February 2024, who also serves as President of the Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation.

"These promotions and added responsibilities for key members of our team underscore The Jockey Club's commitment to advancing the industry," remarked Gagliano. "We are proud to witness these individuals progress within the organisation, a testament to their hard work, achievements, and unwavering dedication to The Jockey Club's mission."

Gagliano also expressed gratitude to Stephen Panus for his years of service and leadership in developing America's Best Racing brand, wishing him success in his future endeavours as he transitions to a strategic consulting role.
