The next challenge for Didia is Saratoga's Diana

Fresh off her impressive victory in the June 7 New York Stakes (G1T), Didia is being prepared by trainer Ignacio Correas for a return to Saratoga Race Course in the $500,000 Diana Stakes (G1T) on July 13.

"She's going to go most likely to the Diana," said Correas. "If all goes well, we're going to work with her [on June 19] and we'll start prepping her for that."

The 6-year-old Orpen mare, owned by Merriebelle Stables and Resolute Racing, exited her 1 1/2-length New York victory "very, very good" according to Correas. "I think she was impressive and hopefully she keeps doing it," Correas said.

Didia returned to her home base at Keeneland on June 8. Her planned work on Wednesday will be her first since winning the New York Stakes.

An earner of $1,533,484 and a two-time Grade 1 winner in her native Argentina, Didia has enjoyed considerable success since moving to the United States in 2022. In 10 U.S. starts, she has hit the board nine times, with seven trips to the winners' circle. She began the year with a victory in the Pegasus World Cup Filly & Mare Turf Invitational Stakes (G2T) before finishing third in the Jenny Wiley Stakes (G1T).

The New York Stakes was Didia's first time racing on the Saratoga turf. The long-term goal is the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Turf (G1T) at Del Mar on November 2.
