Third victory in a row

Eastcoast Invader (Rollwithitharry) secured his third consecutive harness racing victory in the Winners-Over at Inverness Raceway on Wednesday, July 10. Driven by Monica Sutherland, Eastcoast Invader took an early pocket position as Windemere Best Man broke stride and dropped to third. Shir Gain, the early leader, set fractions of :30.2 and 1:00, with Windemere Best Man applying pressure through the third quarter.

Shir Gain maintained the lead through three-quarters in 1:29.2 but was soon overtaken by Eastcoast Invader, who cleared the pocket and surged ahead in the final turn. Eastcoast Invader pulled away for a decisive win in 1:58.3, with Shir Gain finishing second and Delightful Wine coming in third.

This victory marks Eastcoast Invader's third win in seven starts this season. Trained and driven by Monica Sutherland, the seven-year-old gelding has now won 20 of his 103 career races, earning $33,750 for Sutherland and co-owner/breeder Todd Sutherland.

Racing at Inverness Raceway will continue on Wednesday, July 17.
