At Red Shores Racetrack & Casino in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, on Saturday, May 25, David Dowling and Ardon Mofford will participate in the Atlantic Regional Driving Championship (ARDC), presented by Standardbred Canada.
The drivers in first and second place will go on to the National Driving Championship (NDC), which will take place on July 5 at Hippodrome 3R in Trois-Rivières, Quebec, and is sponsored by Standardbred Canada. The winner of the 2024 NDC will receive an invitation to compete for Canada at the New Zealand and Australia-hosted 2025 World Driving Championship.
David Dowling of Prince Edward Island and Florence, Nova Scotia horseman Ardon Mofford, who has driven winners of more than $110,000 in lifetime purse earnings with 92 wins, are preparing for their first ARDC. Dowling just finished a career-high season in 2023, winning 165 races and earning more than $518,000 in purses for his mounts.
