A driver Dexter Dunn's great day
It was a night of milestones and impressive performances at The Meadowlands with driver Dexter Dunn capturing three major stakes races and hitting the 2,000-win mark in North America. Dunn guided Abuckabett Hanover to victory in the Dave Brower Memorial, Twin B Joe Fresh to a win in the Perfect Sting, and Jiggy Jog S to a win in the Six Pack.
In the Crawford Farms Open Trot, Southwind Tyrion put on a show with a stakes-record mile of 1:49.2, the second-fastest trotting mile in Meadowlands history. Karl and T C I solidified their standing as top contenders for the upcoming Hambletonian Stakes with wins in their respective divisions of the W.N. Reynolds Memorial for three-year-old male trotters.
On the filly side, Sunkist Beauty, Elista Hanover, and Buy A Round all notched wins in their divisions of the sophomore female trotters, with all three fillies now eligible for the Hambletonian Oaks.
Overall, it was a successful night of racing at The Meadowlands with over $3.5 million in total handle and a record-breaking Pick-4 pool. Dunn's milestone win and the impressive performances by Southwind Tyrion, Karl, T C I, and the filly trotters made for an exciting evening of racing.
