All about the legendary Bulldog Hanover

Bulldog Hanover, the offspring of the esteemed Shadow Play, who was recently inducted into the CHRHF in 2022, and the mare BJs Squall, was acquired by the renowned trainer Jack Darling, also a CHRHF inductee in 2022. This acquisition took place at the 2019 Harrisburg Black Book Sale, where Darling secured the talented Bulldog Hanover for a sum of $28,000. He started his racing journey at the age of two, achieving victory in four out of six races. This impressive record includes a triumph in the prestigious Ontario Sires Stakes Gold Super Final, where Jody Jamieson skillfully guided him. Prior to the start of his third year in racing, Brad Grant became a new partner in the ownership group.

At the age of three, Bulldog Hanover continued to showcase his talent by securing three victories in the Ontario Sires Stakes Gold leg. He entered the Grand Circuit arena after securing victories in the Somebeachsomewhere Stakes and a North America Cup elimination, both with Jody Jamieson as his driver. He concluded his second year with an impressive streak of four wins at Hoosier Park, triumphing in the Monument Circle, the Star Destroyer Pace, the Circle City Pace, and the Thanksgiving Classic. These achievements were just a preview of the greatness that lay ahead.

In his 2022 campaign, Bulldog Hanover achieved an impressive feat by winning four consecutive races within just 21 days.
