Charlottetown, Pennsylvania At Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park on Thursday evening, May 9, the harness racing Glamour Gals will compete once more in the highlighted Fillies and Mares Preferred Pace.
Race 9 of the Thursday card is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m., and the $3,700 Fillies and Mares Preferred Pace will be the first to go.
Following a winter campaign in Ontario, trainer Jodie Cullen has returned to the East Coast with Share The Moment (Control The Moment). Share The Moment, a top-notch pacing mare on the East Coast in 2023, went back to the Bo Ford stable for owners Luke Beck, Scott Bridges, and Arnold Myers. The six-year-old mare, driven by regular P.E.I. driver Gilles Barrieau, won her qualification last week at Flamboro Downs in Ontario in 1:57.1, an open-length time. Share The Moment has post 2 Thursday.
Newcomer The Ideal Huntress, who lives in the Ellen Stevenson stable in New Brunswick, is in charge of the rail control. The Huntsville mare is owned and driven by Dr. Mitchell Downey.
Chelski, accompanied by Corey MacPherson for trainer Jennifer Doyle and owners Jeffrey and Robert Skinner, won this class last week. This week, she has the outside post 5. Tobins Brownie (to be driven by David Dowling) and Ms. Moyse (Adam Merner) are also present in the field.

In the first race on the schedule, Islebetu Islebeatu (Mike McGuigan), the morning line favourite, is the Ise Pick 5. Super Hi5s in races 5 and 10 and a late Pik4 make up the $2000 guarantee pool for the five-dash wager, which is available from the first through the fifth race. This season, PEI Players will now be a part of the HPI Rewards program.
