Chipper Dale and Only I Exist to Extend Winning Streaks at Philadelphia

Three-year-old trotters Chipper Dale and Only I Exist kept their winning streaks alive in a pair of $16,667 conditioned races during the "Trottin’ Thursday" program at Harrah’s Philadelphia.

Chipper Dale, a Shake It Off Lindy gelding, made a memorable debut for new owners Evans Nation, Jeff Fought Racing, and Brian Carsey, winning by 6-3/4 lengths in 1:55.1—dropping five seconds from his previous best. Driver David Miller guided the new Per Engblom trainee to the lead, where Chipper Dale pulled away, leaving the field to battle for minor honours. The sophomore standout has now won 11 of his 14 starts this year and is approaching $275,000 in earnings.

Meanwhile, Only I Exist, a three-year-old filly by Yall Beneath Me, overcame her initial career break and has since claimed 15 consecutive wins. Trained and owned by Richard Hans, the filly added her second victory at Harrah’s Philadelphia, clocking in at 1:57 under the handling of Russell Foster. Her career earnings now top $350,000.

The program’s top race, an $18,750 trot, was won by G Load, who edged out pacesetter Tequini Hanover with a final-stretch surge to win by half a length in 1:56.2. Driven and trained by Justin Huckabone for owner Mathew Dugan, the Nuncio gelding patiently sat in the pocket before making his winning move.

Notable drivers with doubles included Justin Huckabone, George Napolitano Jr., Jack Pelling, and Rikard Skoglund, with trainers Scott Di Domenico and Per Engblom also collecting two wins each.

Friday's program at Harrah's Philadelphia will feature fast-class horses, with first post set for 12:25 p.m.
