College Tuition Rallies for Back-to-Back Wins in Rosecroft

Following a decisive 1:53.1 win in a high-level conditioned event, College Tuition returned to action at Rosecroft Raceway on Wednesday, Nov. 13, stepping up to the $14,583 Open Handicap Trot. Driven by William Carter, the six-year-old gelding took advantage of a pocket trip to secure his second consecutive victory.

Starting from post-seven, College Tuition surged forward, engaging Coventry Hall (Trae Porter) in an early duel before settling into the pocket position. He tracked through quick fractions of :27 and :56, briefly boxed in by Crossfit Mouse (Corey Braden), who advanced first-over from fourth up the backstretch and hit three-quarters in 1:25.2.

As the field turned for home, Carter manoeuvred College Tuition to the open stretch. The Donato Hanover-Stirling Charisma gelding responded with a powerful rally, edging out Crossfit Mouse by a half-length to win in 1:55.1. DJ Dan (Johnathan Ahle) also closed strongly, sweeping three-wide to take third ahead of Coventry Hall.

Owned and trained by Eric Foster, College Tuition now boasts eight wins this season and 19 lifetime victories, with career earnings of $309,908. He paid $5.40 to win.

Rosecroft’s next race card on Sunday, Nov. 17, includes the $125,000 Potomac Pace and a Jackpot Hi-5 carryover of $15,543.38, with a first post at 3 p.m.
