Cullen's stellar performance at the Georgian
The Sunday, June 9 card at Georgian Downs witnessed an outstanding performance by Team Cullen, with driver Travis Cullen clinching four victories, three of which were for trainer Jodie Cullen.
The winning streak kicked off in the third race, a $7,000 conditioned event for filly and mare pacers, where Playa Duharas, driven by Travis Cullen, took the lead from post four. With a swift opening quarter of :29.4 and a half-mile split of :58.4, Playa Duharas maintained her position at the front. Despite pressure from stable-mate Wifey Said So, piloted by Ed Hensley, Playa Duharas held on to secure victory in 1:58.
Travis Cullen continued his winning momentum in the sixth race, guiding Whats The Point to triumph for trainer Wayne Henry. Returning to the driver's seat for trainer Jodie Cullen in the following race, Cullen steered Berens Weapon to victory in the $20,000 claiming event. After biding his time in third position, Berens Weapon made a decisive move in the third quarter, ultimately crossing the wire in 1:56.2, fending off a determined Ballykeel Painter.
Completing a natural hat trick, Travis Cullen secured his fourth win of the day aboard Sergeant Slaughter, once again for trainer Jodie Cullen. After a strategic start that saw Sergeant Slaughter in sixth position, Cullen orchestrated a masterful move, surging from third-over to claim victory in 1:54.4, leaving the competition trailing behind.
In addition to Travis Cullen's stellar performance, Tyler Borth also enjoyed success with a driving triple, teaming up with Cullen to dominate seven out of eight races on the card. Tyler Jones rounded out the winners' circle with a commanding victory in the Sunday opener aboard What About Elmo, trained by Paul Reid.
