During the Pocono Tuesday Game of Claims, Fight Song triumphed

On Tuesday, April 2, the Pocono Downs at Mohegan, Pennsylvania, was the arena for a thrilling display of competition. The first preliminary of the Game Of Claims Trotting Series, featuring $33,784 base-tag horses, was held in six divisions. With a total of $23,649 at stake, the tension was palpable.

The standout performer of the day on the challenging track was Fight Song, a talented Kadabra gelding. He led the pack from start to finish, crossing the line in an impressive time of 1:55.3. The next fastest time recorded was 1:57.2.

Anthony Napolitano effectively maintained the speedy trotter's focus on the task at hand, resulting in a decisive victory for trainer Susan Marshall, who co-owns the horse with John Marshall. "ANap" also occupied the seat behind GOC champion Vegas Ticket, who triumphed for the second consecutive race while navigating the unfavourable track conditions in 1:58.1.

The highly anticipated Bobby Weiss Series for talented three-year-olds will take center stage when racing resumes at Pocono on Saturday (April 6) at 1 p.m. Both male and female Pacers will participate in their inaugural series preliminaries, featuring six sections for males and three sections for females competing for USD 20,000 prizes.
