Exciting Harness Racing Highlights Thursday at Charlottetown

Fresh off two second-place finishes, Tobins Future (Arthur Blue Chip) aims for victory in the evening's featured harness racing event at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino, located at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

The evening features a 12-race card starting at 6 P.M., with the highlight being the Grand Slam of Curling Pace in race 11, offering a purse of $2,900.

Corey MacPherson will take the reins of Tobins Future, who starts from post position 2 as the morning line favourite. The four-year-old mare, co-owned and trained by Jason Biggar alongside Robyn Wilson of Miscouche, has an impressive record with 11 wins out of 47-lifetime races and has placed second in her last two outings.

Also vying for the title is the consistent Woodmere Rollily, to be driven by Adam Merner, who has posted 5 and boasts a record of six wins, eight seconds, and three-thirds this season.

Lady Devine (driven by David Dowling), the second choice with morning line odds of 3-1, represents leading trainer Jennifer Doyle.

The remaining contenders include Topville Angelina (Gilles Barrieau), Redland Misspretty (Paul Langille), Dollys Sky (Kyle Desroche), and Rock The Baby (Marc Campbell).

The Post Time Picks predict a win for railsitter Topville Angelina at 4-1, noting her impressive performance in her last race, where she secured a narrow victory after staying close to the lead.

In race 9, the $3,450 Open Trot features Chasin Dreams (Merner) as the top choice from post 3, owned by Elly Stafford from Conception Bay South, Newfoundland & Labrador. Landon Campbell trains the nine-year-old son of Credit Winner. Other noteworthy entries include Irish Ray (Marc Campbell) and New Legacy (Jason Hughes).
