Fighting Evil Dominates to Secure Second Consecutive Victory

Taking control with a commanding move from the outside, Fighting Evil triumphed in impressive fashion to clinch her second consecutive win at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows on Thursday, February 22nd.

The $16,351 Filly & Mare Conditioned Pace saw Fighting Evil assert her dominance in challenging conditions.

Starting as the favourite with odds at 4-5, Fighting Evil tactically held back in third position as the race unfolded. In a strategic manoeuvre down the backstretch, driver Ronnie Wrenn, Jr. strategically guided her out of the pack to challenge the front-runner, Arrhythmic Dream. The six-year-old mare, sired by Sweet Lou and Evil Fight, showcased her prowess by swiftly overtaking her rival and pulling away, crossing the finish line 3-1/2 lengths ahead in an impressive time of 1:52. The runners-up, Jillian B Miki and Day To Party, followed behind.

Under the guidance of trainer Jack Smith, Fighting Evil, owned by Shannon Depinto and Howard Taylor, not only secured the win but also bolstered her total career earnings to an impressive $251,862. The victory marked one of four wins for driver Ronnie Wrenn, Jr. throughout the thrilling 13-race event.
