A new chapter in Maine harness racing begins as the Great Pine Racing coalition announces the inaugural season of interstate broadcasts for its racing events. This initiative will make races from Skowhegan, Windsor, Farmington, Cumberland, and Fryeburg Fairs available for viewing and wagering across most American ADWs and physical locations.
The coalition has secured Roberts Communications for broadcast and streaming services, while International Sound will deliver high-definition (HD) broadcasts. United Tote will handle the tote services.
First Tracks Cumberland will serve as the interstate agent for these fairs, with CHRIMS managing settlements through First Tracks.
The season opens on Sunday, August 11, at 1 p.m. with the Skowhegan State Fair. The 10-race card will kick off Skowhegan’s 206th year, continuing its tradition as the United States' oldest continuously running agricultural fair, established in 1818.
