Following second-over cover on the final turn, Gruesome Twosome unleashed a furious :27.2 closing quarter to chase down longshot Flirtnwiththepilot, scoring by a quarter of a length in 1:54. The victory marked the 10th win in 15 starts this season for the son of You Know You Do-All Set Lets Go, who is co-owned and trained by Bontrager along with Ira Steinberg.
