Howmac Maximus will have a tough race

Howmac Maximus is set to face off against some tough competitors from Nova Scotia in the top harness racing event at Red Shores at the Summerside Raceway on Tuesday evening (June 18).

With a 6 P.M. start time and 13 races on the schedule, Howmac Maximus, driven by Damian MacLellan, is the favourite in the feature race with a $3,250 prize.

The five-year-old gelding, trained by Tammy Collings, recently showed great determination in his last race, finishing second to Island Beach Boy with a time of 1:55.1. Owned by Brett MacDonald, Howmac Maximus has won nine races.

Competing against Howmac Maximus are Brumby, who has finished third in his last three races, and Tango Seelster, another entry from Nova Scotia. Other contenders in the race include Melody Maker, Sauble Attack, and Coasttocoastshark.

The Backstretch Beat predicts that Howmac Maximus will come out on top in the feature race, praising MacLellan's skill in the race bike. However, with a competitive field of races, there are no guarantees.

In the race 13 finale, Woodmere Denny will be aiming for his third consecutive win since returning home under the training of MacKenzie Spence. With Doyle in the driver's seat, Woodmere Denny will face tough competition from Privelege and Risin Horizon.
