Jockey Davis Eager for 2024 Breeders' Cup Challenge

Dylan Davis, an emerging talent in the world of horse racing, is keenly anticipating his participation in the prestigious Breeders' Cup World Championships on November 1-2 at Del Mar. This ambitious 29-year-old will ride in two notable events on the opening day: Quickick in the Juvenile Fillies (G1) and Abientot in the Juvenile Fillies Turf (G1T), both crucial opportunities to claim his first Breeders' Cup victory.

Davis, whose father is former jockey Robbie Davis, reflects on the significance of this moment. "It's a dream just to ride in these races, let alone win one," he shared, embodying the ambition that has propelled him to the top echelons of the sport. He heads into the Breeders' Cup as a frontrunner in the jockey standings at Belmont for the fall meet.

His journey has been filled with milestones, including his first riding title at the Aqueduct winter meet in 2021-2022 and reaching 1,000 career wins by May 2022. Davis secured his first Grade 1 victory in 2021 and has consistently improved, notably achieving a standout performance at the Saratoga meet this summer.

"My success stems from confidence and a strong mindset," Davis explained. With a promising outlook for Quickick and Abientot, he remains focused on larger goals: routinely competing in Grade 1 races and establishing himself among elite riders. For Dylan Davis, the future looks bright.
