Jorge Delgado Wants Carter's Favourite Super Chow to Happen Quickly

Super Chow, the talented racehorse from Lea Farms, is set to compete in the prestigious Grade 2, $300,000 Carter presented by NYRA Bets. This seven-furlong sprint for older horses at Aqueduct Racetrack marks Super Chow's chance to secure a remarkable third consecutive graded stakes victory.

The Carter, scheduled as race 4, is among five stakes featured on Saturday's 11-race card, with the Grade 2, $750,000 Wood Memorial presented by Resorts World Casino taking the spotlight in Race 10. Enhancing the Wood Memorial Day card is the Grade 3, $200,000 Gazelle in Race 8; Grade 3, $175,000 Distaff in Race 6; and the Listed $150,000 Bay Shore in Race 9. The initial post is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Eastern time.

With guidance from Jorge Delgado, the 4-year-old colt by Lord Nelson comes into the race after a dominant victory in the six-furlong Grade 3 Tom Fool Handicap on March 2 at this very track. Super Chow triumphed by a margin of 1 1/4 lengths, outpacing Manny Wah by 4 1/4 lengths in a similarly dominant display during the seven-furlong Grade 3 Toboggan race held locally in February.

According to Delgado, Super Chow, who encountered unexpected conditions in the Tom Fool and Toboggan races, might benefit from a speedier track this Saturday.
