Kentucky Derby 2024: Brisnet provides free past performances

At Churchill Downs, the field for the Run for the Roses was selected on Saturday night.

Eclipse Award winner Fierceness, who won the Grade 1 Florida Derby by a margin of 13 1/2 lengths last month, was placed as the 5-2 morning-line favourite after drawing post 17.

The Second choice at 3-1, Sierra Leone, the deep closer who won the Blue Grass Stakes (G1), drew post 2.

Trainer Brad Cox has three entries, the third of which is Catching Freedom. He overcame an early deficit to win the Louisiana Derby (G2).

Race 12 on the Saturday card is the Kentucky Derby, and it is scheduled to post at 6:57 p.m. EDT. A full field of 20 was drawn, with two also-eligible.
