Kinesiology Leads Trotting Fillies in Pocono Weiss Event
On a picturesque Tuesday (April 9) afternoon at Pocono Downs in Mohegan, Pennsylvania, the illustrious David Miller showcased his prowess by triumphing in three divisions of the Bobby Weiss Series first prelim for three-year-old trotting fillies. Notably, Kinesiology emerged as the swiftest victor in the six $27,027 divisions.
After being blanked as a freshman, Walner filly Kinesiology stopped the stopwatch in 1:55 with all her muscles working correctly. Michael Burke trains the improving filly for Burke Racing Stable LLC, Beasty LLC, Lawrence Karr, and J&T Silva-Purnel & Libby.
David Miller's success was not limited to Kinesiology. He also guided Tactical Lori (1:55.2) to a lifetime best for trainer Nifty Norman and owners Melvin Hartman and Enzed Racing Stable Inc. in her second consecutive visit to Victory Lane.
In her first race of the year for trainer best Harder, co-owner with Dean Lockhart and Denna Rachel Frost, Happy Chopper, a Father Patrick miss, led by Braxten Boyd to a new best-of 1:56.1.
Driver Andy Miller and trainer/wife Julie won with three sophomore trotting fillies in the Philly qualifications earlier in the day, earning a second Weiss credit with Tove Palema for Walner. In her sophomore debut, Andy Miller Stable Inc., Patrick Hoopes, and Mortgage Boys Stable own the winner.
