Guided by driver Samuel Fillion, Larjon Levi sat second-over from the fifth position, advancing on the cover into the final turn. Fourth on the outside entering the stretch, he surged past all three opponents to claim victory by a half-length in 1:55. Pacesetter Lamborghini Lou (Paul Mackenzie) held on for second, with Lotto Max (Travis Henry) finishing third.
With a 50% win rate through 12 starts and earnings of $20,592, Larjon Levi is trained by Patrick Bissett and owned by Larry Lane of Goderich. The three-year-old gelding, who debuted this season, has now claimed two Prospect Series leg wins.
In the second division, Tricky Mcwicky (Mcwicked), driven by Brett MacDonald, led wire-to-wire, drawing away down the stretch to win in 1:55.3. All Bets On Red (Jason Ryan) took second, followed by Harborlite Ambrose (Austin Sorrie).
Trained by David Frey for owner/breeders Stuart and Patricia Bolender of Elora, Tricky Mcwicky remains unbeaten in the Prospect Series with two wins. The gelding has made 26 starts this season, notching five victories and earning $65,176.
The final division saw Onyx Bovino (Bettors Delight, J. Bradley Harris) lead from start to finish, holding off pocket-sitter Gladiator S Bg (Ryan) in the stretch to win in 1:55.3. Gladiator S Bg finished 1 1/4 lengths back in second, with Rise N Grind (MacDonald) completing the top three.
Onyx Bovino has hit the board in nine consecutive starts and boasts six wins in 18 career outings, accumulating $40,299 in earnings. The homebred gelding is trained by Lacey McCabe for Glenview Livestock of Ingersoll.
