Luis Contreras, a two-time winner, shall ride Ba Dee Yah

Jockey Luis Contreras, a two-time winner of the Woodbine Oaks, will be riding Ba Dee Yah in the upcoming race for Canadian-bred 3-year-old fillies. The Oaks, in its 69th year, will be a 1 1/8 mile-race on Tapeta.

Ba Dee Yah, who has never raced at Woodbine or on an all-weather surface, is owned by Gold Standard Racing and trained by Tom Amoss. Amoss, a successful trainer with over 4,000 wins, is also known for his Kentucky Oaks victory. Ba Dee Yah, a daughter of Uncle Mo bred by Anderson Farms, was named after the Earth Wind and Fire song 'September'.

Emma-Jayne Wilson will ride War Painter for trainer Kevin Attard and the Canuck Racing Club. War Painter, coming off a win and with impressive work, could be a top contender. Attard also has My Girl Della in the Oaks, ridden by Patrick Husbands, and Vuchella, ridden by Pietro Moran.

Kin's Concerto from Chiefswood Stables, Princess Elizabeth Stakes winner Inudation, and recent winner Caitlinhergrtness are also expected to compete. Hurricane Clair, a stakes winner bred by Bru-Mel Stables, will be ridden by Sahin Civaci.

The field for the 69th Woodbine Oaks is filled with talented contenders, including Ba Dee Yah, War Painter, and Kin's Concerto, among others. Riders such as Luis Contreras, Emma-Jayne Wilson, and Patrick Husbands will be in the saddle for what promises to be an exciting race.
