Majorca N Triumphs Over Incaseyoudidntknow at Bally's Dover
Rival mares Majorca N and Incaseyoudidntknow once again went head-to-head in an action-packed $34,722 Mares Open Pace at Bally's Dover on Wednesday, Nov. 6. This time, Majorca N came out on top, clinching her eighth victory of the season.
Driver Corey Callahan launched Majorca N off the gate, seizing control early with an intense :26.1 opening quarter, before settling the pace to :55.3 by the half. Jim Morand, guiding the 1-5 favourite Incaseyoudidntknow, tried to make a quarter move but ultimately tucked back in third. As they reached the backstretch, Incaseyoudidntknow surged forward, drawing level with Majorca N past the three-quarters in 1:23. In the final stretch, Majorca N proved too strong, pulling away to win by a measured length in 1:51, with Incaseyoudidntknow finishing a close second. Melody Hanover, driven by Ross Wolfenden, rounded out the top three.
Owned by her trainers Dylan Davis and Michael Casalino Jr., Majorca N returned $8.20 for the win. Callahan had a banner night with five wins, while trainer Les Givens notched three victories.
Thursday's race card at Bally's Dover will feature the Matron Stakes for three-year-olds and a pentafecta carryover of $1,656.55. Live harness racing runs Monday through Thursday, with a first post at 4:30 p.m.
